Serious reed fire in Fót, Hungary; Firefighters in action -VIDEO

The Budapest Disaster Management has reported that the reeds around the outer parts of Fót have caught on fire on Sunday afternoon and due to the windy weather, it quickly got out of hand.

According to their statement forwarded to Index, they only managed to extinguish the fire while utilising eight waterjets at once. At the end of February, a similar, unfortunate case happened in Fonyód, where 127 hectares of reed burned to ash.
