Special lecture “The Alexander Books” held by Hungarian Cultural Centre Delhi

On October 8, 2021, the Liszt Institute, Hungarian Cultural Centre Delhi in collaboration with Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA) organised the Special Lecture.

The lecture was titled “The Alexander Books” by Dr Gergely Orosz, a scholar of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, an expert on Csoma’s work.

He is also the curator of the ongoing photo-documentary exhibition on Pilgrim Scholar– Alexander Csoma de Kőrös.  It was a detailed and interesting lecture.

Welcome address was delivered by Ms Mariann Erdő, Director of the Liszt Institute,Delhi. The session was chaired by Dr Sonal Mansingh, Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha and Trustee, IGNCA.

The event was attended by H.E. András László Király, Ambassador of Hungary in India and his wife.  A large number of Hungarian language students along with Dr Margit Köves, and others were present.

After the event the Hon’ble Ambassador and his wife interacted with the students.
