Orbán: ‘Era of sobriety knocking on our door’
After an era of liberal and globalist illusions, “the era of sobriety is knocking on our door”, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said at a festive assembly of the national police force marking its 100th anniversary in Parliament on Friday.
This can be seen in the stricter migration policy being pursued in Europe and the strong state response to the new coronavirus, the prime minister said.
“Order is the foundation of freedom,” Orbán said. “This is why we protect the borders, stem the flow of migrants, support victims, condemn and put an end to prison business, raise our children to forge a healthy family and national identity, support our police force and are proud of our achievements,” Orbán said. “Time also vindicates us in this debate,” he added.

Orbán said that people who regard the interests of the community — and the legislation that protects it — as needless curbs on the individual generally support migration and drug liberalisation, while privileging the rights of criminals instead of victims. Such people, he added, prefer not to reinforce the child’s natural gender identity.
They also want to place limits on the operations of armed bodies, he said.
The prime minister told his audience that the government appreciated the work of the police and intended to recognise it financially, “even though there is still work to be done” in this area. “The intention is there, however,” he added.

Orbán said the work of police officers was important in international affairs as well as at home. “In today’s turbulent world, order and security have become highly valuable commodities,” he said, adding that Hungary’s strong economic and diplomatic position in the world was thanks largely to its ability to operate in an orderly and safe environment.
“This is also why police officers have the confidence of the Hungarian people on a daily basis,” Orbán said.

I’m not Hungarian but live and worked there , i like Orban and his way of thinking, Hungary and the Culture first, some of the lowest crime, rape, drug problem, people in prison and one of the safest countries in Europe so whats not to like, his policies are working, the only thing needed i think is better living conditions for the elderly and better wages for the people !
I’m not Hungarian but Australian living in this joyous and over-all safe country of Hungary under a residency card governmental approval. I applauded and support he philosophies and ideas of the Orban firmly led government that has clear communication and transparency in it’s core party foundations of policies and the way they they govern and see the future long term of Hungary. Focus should be by governments universally,in this case Orban’s led party, that the aged/elderly should be a priority in there Duty & Care of government. There should not be within society a widening of the social gap – “the rich get richer and the poor get poorer” which regrettable sadly and of human created wrongness is evidenced universally globally throughout the world in this period of 21st century. Fairness and equality enabling a quality of life for all it’s peoples governments should “creed” it into there policies and ensure it happens. Productivity the earnings and fairness in the return of investment distributed by companies or the government of the country, in this case the Orban led party, needs to “creed” to ensure fairness balance in the wage structures of it’s people that ensure quality of life and not social hardship stress and social destruction and decay evaporation of society and communities that class distinction can cause if there is not Fairness to people. There is a “soul” in the Orban government but it must ensure it remains focused convinced and we the people living in Hungary support the correct long term views that I support of Orban’s led party.
love the guy. Victor closed down George Soros bullshit left wing university. Bringing in laws to jail the left wing fake media for spreading fake news. Hooray about time.
Puts his people first over the EU. Keeps Hungary for Hungarians instead of for African and middle Eastern Muslims. Hungarians are lovely people and very friendly. Wish I could encourage them to HEXIT the EU Victor hates Brussels bureaucrats as much as I do.
I am so glad that his foreign minister is so open and frank on migration issues too.
Would like to see free movement between Hungarians and Britain post 2020. Hungaians are a great people but the language is awesome difficult to learn and understand.
