Oscar-winning Hans Zimmer shot new music video in Budapest – VIDEO
Academy Award-winner musician Hans Zimmer (The Crown, Lion King, Gladiator) shot his brand-new music video in several cities including Budapest.
Világgazdaság reported that the production was originally composed for the movie Inception after Hans Zimmer asked one of the most prominent DJs today, Alan Walker, to make a remix together. The video tells the story of empty cities slowly getting alive with people after the coronavirus epidemic. The characters in the video step out on the street and admire the buildings like they have never seen them before while the lights shining on these structures in the film represent hope.
In the video, Hans Zimmer plays the piano from his home in Los Angeles while Alan Walker remixes it from an underwater studio.
One of the locations in Budapest, and its iconic Chain Bridge and Buda Castle in the background. The video was shot in a way where we can see Zimmer playing the piano or Walker remixing the music on the walls of the Chain Bridge.
“Walkers! I’m beyond excited to share this video with you. Collaborating with Hans Zimmer on this release has been an out-of-body experience on a whole different level. Everyone who knows me knows that I’m a huge fan of his work, and it has played a big part in my musical journey. Especially Time, which is probably my favourite song ever. Plus it marks the 10th anniversary for Inception this year too. I’m as grateful as I can be for this opportunity! Making this music video during a world that’s on lockdown, provided some obvious challenges. However, we decided to use that to our advantage, and I hope you like the result. Let me know what you think in the comment section below!” – wrote Walker to his fans.
