The region’s biggest coworking office to open in Budapest
The biggest coworking space of the Central Eastern European region will open on 1 July in Millenáris Park, Budapest, szeretlekmagyarorszag.hu reports. Millenáris Startup Camps (MSC) is expected to become the home of startups, innovative entrepreneurs, and self-employed creatives as well as the corporations working with them.
Several Hungarian and multinational companies are running start-up initiatives, and the collaboration of smaller businesses and corporations is an idea that is gaining more and more currency in Hungary, too. Despite the fact that many world-famous companies started from Hungary, there is still no innovative entrepreneurial centre that brings them together in space.
This is why Millenáris set out on a mission to create the Startup Camps to gather together talents, startups and the other actors of the world of innovation, redefining the green zone of Millenáris as a creative hub on the Buda side.
Millenáris is collaborating with IVSZ (Association for Digital Economy) on the project, which announced the kick-off at the Digital innovation conference. The association is responsible for filling the coworking space with tenants and a vibrant community life, a task that is well-prepared for at IVSZ has been an integral part of Hungarian start-up culture ever since its conceptions.
Innovation campuses similar to MSC can be found all around Europe, so this opening is important for connecting Budapest into this global flow with a space that fosters learning and creating. MSC will also serve as a venue for innovation competitions and exhibitions, giving opportunities to young urban entrepreneurs outside Budapest to further their ideas either in the capital or on the international scene.
