These are the coolest offices in Hungary – Photos
How would you imagine an ordinary office? White walls, bored faces stooping in front of the computers while sitting in uncomfortable chairs. A coffee machine, a ticking clock that workers try to enchant so the workday ends sooner?
Szeretlekmagyarorszag.hu writes that, when you see the winners of the Office of the Year contest, you’ll quickly erase this concept. This was the sixth time that the competition was held, and they received even more applications than last year: there were 84 applications in 7 categories and the jury awarded 11 offices. By looking at the photos of these Hungarian offices we are able to see that the decision must have been hard, since there were so many creative designs, interiors.
The evaluation process consisted of two parts: there was an audience voting in each category, which was followed by the professional jury’s evaluation, based on a specific and objective list of aspects.
Finally, Profession.hu’s office was chosen as the winner. The employment portal’s new office can be found in the Krisztina Palace office-block in the 12th district. The office lies on 900 m2 and its friendly atmosphere is guaranteed by natural materials, brick walls, panelling, white and pastel colours, green plants and a lot of natural light.
Skyscanner Budapest’s office finished in the 2nd place.
Jófogás HQ finished in the 3rd place.
GE Global Operations, GE Healthcare won the award for the Office of the Year – Enterprise category.
The Design Office of the Year award was given to DekoRatio Branding & Design Studio.
Lastly, the Office of the Year Special Prize was given to a 21st century office at Kossuth Square.

These offices are inspiring. I would love to work in these spaces, especially those celebrating “light”.
