House speaker nominates Barnabas Lenkovics for top court chief

Budapest, November 28 (MTI) – Speaker of Parliament Laszlo Kover has nominated Barnabas Lenkovics for next president of the Constitutional Court, Parliament’s press chief told MTI today.

The top court chief will be elected by a two-thirds majority of MPs in a secret ballot. The vote will be held on December 1, Zoltan Szilagyi said.

The term of incumbent Constitutional Court president Peter Paczolay will expire on February 24, 2015.
