Hungary, Serbia to hold joint govt session on Wednesday

Budapest, June 30 (MTI) – The governments of Hungary and Serbia will hold a joint session in Budapest on Wednesday.

Hungarian officials suggested earlier that the session would focus on illegal migration, the planned border fence and the upgrading of the Belgrade-Budapest railway line.

Government office chief Janos Lazar said last Thursday that Hungarian-Serbian inter-governmental relations had improved significantly over the past few years, and it was the interest of the Hungarian government that they should remain that way.

According to the government website kormany.hu, prime ministers Viktor Orban of Hungary and Aleksandar Vucic of Serbia are scheduled to sign an agreement and hold a joint press conference in the Parliament.

In the afternoon Orban will address a Hungarian-Serbian business forum.

The two governments held their last joint session in Belgrade just a year ago.
