The recent launch of the beta for the new expansion has allowed some players to test out part of the new mechanics and content, allowing developers to prepare the game for release and eliminate as many potential bugs and issues as possible. Naturally, much more information about the expansion has appeared on the internet, and players can now study these details in greater depth. Developers are actively sharing news and details, enabling the community to prepare for the new features and plan their strategies. On various forums, blogs, and social media, players discuss the new mechanics, share their impressions, and build theories about how the gameplay will change. Video reviews and streams from popular bloggers and streamers provide a glimpse of the new zones and content in action, fueling interest and helping players better prepare for the expansion’s launch. Nerub’ar Palace, being a key element of the new raid, is of particular interest to endgame players who eagerly await the chance to test their skills in this location.

Raid background

In the new expansion, the antagonist will be a well-known entity from previous installments named Xal’atath. Her plans remain unclear, but they could certainly threaten all of Azeroth. To achieve her goals, Xal’atath needs allies, so she strikes a deal with the Nerubian kingdom of Azj-Kahet, promising their queen, Ansurek, to restore their former glory and bring them out of isolation. As a bonus, she provided the means to modify their bodies using dark alchemy, making them more dangerous than the previously known Nerubians. They are collecting the blood of ancient gods, which holds immense magical power, deep underground and storing it in the lower levels of the palace. You and your companions will visit the Nerubian Palace to eliminate the dangerous elite of this kingdom and slow down Xal’atath’s plans.

Raid details

Raid release date

World of Warcraft players can expect the release of the new expansion between August 22 and August 26, depending on which edition they purchased. While Epic Edition owners will be able to start their adventure earlier, standard edition users will gain access three days later. However, the new raid will not be available immediately, as Blizzard developers prefer to give players time to reach the maximum level, familiarize themselves with the new content, and immerse themselves in the story. This allows players to prepare for the challenges that await them in the raid. This practice also helps ensure equal opportunities for all, regardless of when they start their adventures in the new expansion. The raid will be available in Normal and Heroic modes on September 10, with the Mythic+ variation becoming available on September 17.

Location

The raid is located in a new zone called Azj-Kahet. This underground zone is divided into various locations. The Nerub’ar Palace is situated in the center of the city known as the City of Threads, at coordinates 73.14, 55.60.

Raid bosses

The game features a total of 8 boss encounters, each with its unique characteristics. One of these encounters will involve fighting two enemies simultaneously. Here is the list of all the bosses, which you will encounter in the palace:

  • Ulgrax the Devourer
  • The Bloodbound Horror
  • Sikran
  • Rasha’nan
  • Broodtwister Ovi’nax
  • Nexus-Princess Ky’veza
  • The Silken Court(2 enemies)
  • Queen Ansurek

Nerub’ar Palace has a more vertical structure than other raids, so you will move on different planes from one boss to the next.

Loot

The quality of the loot depends on the difficulty at which you complete the dungeon as well as the boss you defeat. The item level (ilvl) rewards for each difficulty are as follows:

  • LFR (Looking For Raid): 584-593 ilvl, with rare drops at 600 ilvl.
  • Normal: 597-606 ilvl, with rare drops at 613 ilvl.
  • Heroic: 610-619 ilvl, with rare drops at 626 ilvl.
  • Mythic: 623-632 ilvl, with rare drops at 639 ilvl.

Five bosses from the list can drop Tier Set pieces as Tier Tokens. Queen Ansurek is the only one who drops Omni-Tier tokens.

Innovations in the raid

Story mode

Considering that raids often contain the resolution of the new expansion’s storyline, Blizzard has decided to simplify raid encounters for casual players by introducing a Story Mode. This will allow all players to immerse themselves in the lore without having to memorize complex mechanics. In this mode, the number of participants will range from 1 to 5 players.

Return of Heroic Week

The return of Heroic Week will make transitioning between raid difficulties easier for players. During Heroic Week, players can upgrade their gear to optimal levels and plan their raid strategies. With more time for preparation, it will be more exciting to watch the race for supremacy between guilds.

Spiders or Crabs?

The developers have added a new Arachnophobia mode, which may make it easier for some players to complete the new content.

A new mod for the game, designed for players with arachnophobia, replaces spiders with crabs. This mod was created to make the game more comfortable for those who are afraid of spiders. Arachnophobia, or the fear of spiders, is quite common and can cause severe discomfort in some people when encountering spiders, even in virtual space. This move demonstrates the developers’ commitment to embracing the diversity of their players and making games inclusive for everyone, regardless of their phobias or preferences.

Nerub’ar Palace and WoW raid boosting

Although the expansion has not yet been released, you can pre-order WoW raid boost on various boosting sites. Using WoW raid carries, you’ll have the opportunity to participate in the raid under the guidance of professional players who can utilize your character’s full potential. This can be particularly useful if you’re unfamiliar with boss mechanics but want to obtain quality loot without having to learn them. WoW raid service is also beneficial if you don’t have a guild or a stable team composition but have raid experience. In such cases, you’ll have reliable allies who won’t let you down at critical moments.

Summary

The Nerub’ar Palace raid promises to be thrilling and packed with new mechanics and content that will engage both experienced players and newcomers. The introduction of a Story Mode and special modifications for a more comfortable gaming experience show the developers’ care for their players. Although the expansion has not yet been released, players are already actively discussing and planning their strategies, eagerly anticipating the chance to test their skills in this adventure.
