President Ader visits Cluj County in Transylvania

(MTI) – Hungarian President Janos Ader visited the villages of Bontida (Bonchida) and Rascruci (Valaszut), and the city of Cluj (Kolozsvar) in Romania’s Transylvania region on Wednesday.

Ader and his wife, Anita Herczegh, started a three-day official visit to the region on Monday.

In Bontida, they visited the Baroque Banffy Castle, regarded as the “Versailles” of Transylvania, which is currently being restored by the Transylvania Trust. An investment of 7 million euros is needed to restore the castle, the trust’s executive Csilla Hegedus said.
