A foreign girl was proposed to with a projected light painting on St Stephen’s Basilica, Budapest.

Visitors to the Basilica of the Advent could witness an unusual proposal, as a young man from abroad proposed to his sweetheart with a light painting projected onto the Basilica during the Advent Fair, the organisers said.

The visit to the Basilica of the Advent of a young foreign woman whose partner proposed to her with a projected light painting on St Stephen’s Basilica will certainly be remembered.

Maor, will you marry me?

– was inscribed on the facade of the building, which the young suitor confirmed with an engagement ring.

The lady, unaware of the proposal, happily said yes. The romantic moment was witnessed by visitors to the Christmas Fair, who shared in the joy of the newly engaged couple.

As it turned out, the groom was helped by the Advent Basilica team to organise the surprise, which was also captured on video.
