Hungary’s oldest water tower is opened
If you happen to visit Hungary in the summer, do not miss Szeged, where the exciting water tower can be visited, again. Anyone can go up to the tower on every first Saturday in a month, until October, Termalfurdo.hu informs.
The water tower on Saint Stephen Square is one of Hungary’s first ferro-concrete water towers which has been serving as a sample of water tower building for long decades. There is an interesting exhibition on soda-trade; furthermore, paintings, drawings and photos can be seen. Go up to the look-out floor of the tower, too, and enjoy the beautiful panorama of Szeged.
Entry to the tower is not more than €2 for adults, for students and pensioners it is only €1.2, and for children under the age of 6, it is free. The waterworks of Szeged organizes open days two times a year when on Fridays entry is free of charge, on Saturdays and Sundays it is only €0.64, Termalfurdo.hu informs.
