Audi TT Roadster production to start in Győr in November

Budapest (MTI) – The production of Audi’s TT Roadster model will start in Audi Hungarian Motor’s plant in Győr in western Hungary in early November, the company said on Monday.

The company declined to tell MTI the planned number of TT Roadsters to be produced in Győr but said the plant operates in three shifts at full capacity and its projected production will be several-fold of last year’s above 40,000.

In March, managing director Thomas Faustmann said the Győr-based company plans to triple production from last year’s 42,851. Production in three shifts started in mid-August and the reason specified was high demand for premium models.
