Government to Discuss Fair Banking Bill Next Week
Budapest (MTI) – The government will discuss a bill on fair banking next week, the Justice Ministry told MTI on Saturday.
The government aims to ensure fair lending practices continue and consumer protection guarantees are put in place from 2015, the ministry said.
The approval of the bill will put an end to the “era of small print”, make contractual conditions transparent and prohibit lenders from illegally raising interest rates or fees, it added.
The parliamentary group of governing Fidesz will also discuss the bill next week, the ministry said.
