Weather: cold front arrived, Friday marks the beginning of another warm period

The cold front arrived on Sunday afternoon with showers and thunderstorms, but most of the cool air moves eastwards, North of the Carpathian Basin, so it makes the weather of Hungary only slightly cooler.

On Whit Monday clouds can be expected East of the Danube, everywhere else the weather will be sunny. Showers and thunderstorms may happen in the middle and the East, two counties in the East (Békés and Hajdú-Bihar) still have orange alarm on. The highest the temperature can get is around 27 degrees, while the lowest temperature is around 13 degrees. The weather will not be windy, only a mild wind can be expected.

Tuesday will bring more rain. Showers, thunderstorms and hails can also occur, while another cold front arrives in the evening. The wind can blow by 30 km/h. However, the highest temperature will be around 29 degrees, but it can be as low as 14 degrees too.

The rainfall will disappear on Wednesday and Thursday, but the wind remains. The strengh of the wind will be around 27 km/h on Wednesday, while on Thursday it will get somewhat milder with only 22 km/h. The temperature will get a little lower too, the highest it can get is around 23 on Wednesday and 24 on Thursday, and the lowest around 10 on Wednesday and 13 on Thursday.

Friday marks the beginning of another warm period. The weather will be sunny and will stay sunny for the rest of the week. Wind will not be significant as it will only blow by 9 km/h. The temperature can get as high as 27 degrees, while the lowest it can get is 13 degrees.

The weather will not change significantly on Saturday and Sunday either, though the temperature can get 30 degrees, which already means a heatwave. The wind will get stronger but it will only blow by 10-17 km/h, rainfall will not be expected. Enjoy the fine weather on the weekend, as the next week will bring back the rain again.
