Firefighters working to contain scrub fire along 30km of rail track in N Hungary
More than 40 firefighters are working to contain a scrub fire next to 30kms of rail track between Komárom and Kisbér, in northern Hungary, a local disaster management spokesman said on Sunday afternoon.
It is thought dry scrubland caught fire after a cargo train engine emitted hot gases. Attempts are under way to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby acacia woodland.
Replacement buses are transporting affected passengers, railway traffic information service Mavinform said.
