Orban to attend Sunday commemoration for Paris victims
(MTI) – Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has been honoured to accept the French government’s invitation to attend a commemoration for the victims of the Paris terror attack, the chief of the PM’s press office said on Friday.
Orban will attend a large-scale memorial march starting in Paris at 3pm, Bertalan Havasi told MTI.
In the letter of invitation sent to Orban, the French government expressed thanks for the sympathies and solidarity Hungarian leaders and Hungarian people had extended after the attack.
The event is expected to be also attended by German Chancellor Angela Merkel, British Prime Minister David Cameron, Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi and European Council President Donald Tusk, among others.
