An exquisite Swiss chocolatier is to open in the heart of Budapest
According to Mfor.hu, the rightly famous Swiss chocolatier, the Lindt & Sprüngli expands its global chocolate business in Central and Eastern Europe and finally opens a new exquisite shop in the heart of Budapest as well. The new store of 100-150 sqm favouring the Hungarian fans of premium quality chocolate is going to be established in the city centre with the assistance of the Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL).
The popularity of the premium quality Lindt chocolate originated in Switzerland, the home of the world’s finest chocolate, has been flourishing since the 1800s. Furthermore, within a short amount of time, the renowned products are going to be available in Hungary as well.
The regional business strategy of the Lindt is to familiarise its products and make them more accessible in Hungary and this is why the decision-makers decided to open a new store in Budapest.
The chocolate brand has an extensive network of more than 400 stores in the world and depending on the location of the chocolatier; the owners set up an outlet, a boutique or a café. The one in Budapest is going to be either a boutique or a café depending on the location eventually chosen for the store.
Many simple reasons justify the expansion of the rightly famous brand in Hungary. Firstly, there are not many competitors on the Hungarian market dealing with premium quality chocolate. However, the growing consumer confidence along with the improving standards of living and the increasing tourist traffic all show that Budapest meets the standards needed for the setup of such a premium quality store.
According to Máté Balogh, Hungarian Sales Director at Lindt & Sprüngli,
“the decision is part of the company’s expansion strategy, and fortunately, premium services and products have regained their position in the Central and Eastern European region after the crises. The timing could not be more ideal for opening a store, and we hope to inaugurate it within a short amount of time.”
Éva Stréter, Head of Retail at JLL, added that: “We are pleased to represent Lindt since it is always a special task to introduce a global brand into the domestic market. Our task is easier in that respect that the Lindt represents and maintains premium quality and thus counts for a responsible and permanent tenant. This is what property owners look for. I hope that using our marketing knowledge and our relations, all the Lindt products will be available in a store dreamt by the Lindt by the end of the year.”
We hardly wait to purchase and taste its delicacies offered in Budapest! 🙂
