On this weekend: Hamburger Days at Millenáris Park

Hamburger Days, a hamburger eating and making competition, opens up for hamburger lovers at Millenáris Park from 18th to 21st of June 2015. The main aim of the four-day programme is to introduce visitors with the best Hungarian hamburger-making restaurants and the most special types of sandwiches a layman can imagine.

The best hamburger chefs try out themselves in three categories: beef, extra, and vegetarian. However, if you are not a chef, you can taste the burgers they grilled, or you can test how hungry you are, as there will be a hamburger eating contest, where the winner, who has to eat as many hamburgers within eight minutes as he or she can, gets 100.000 HUF. Last year’s winner could eat as many as ten hamburgers.

Apart from hamburgers, visitors can also taste special beers and the well-known Hungarian fruit brandy, pálinka.
