Former consul general to NY appointed deputy state secretary at the foreign ministry
Ferenc Kumin, who had served as Hungary’s consul general to New York since 2014, has been appointed as a deputy state secretary at the foreign ministry, a resolution published in the latest issue of the official gazette Magyar Közlöny shows.
Kumin’s appointment had been recommended by the foreign minister and takes effect on October 16.
From 2012 to 2014, Kumin worked as deputy state secretary for international communications. From 2006 to 2010, he headed the department of communications and strategic planning at the president’s office.
It was also announced in Wednesday’s issue of Magyar Közlöny that
Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has relieved Gábor Csaba of his post as foreign ministry deputy state secretary effective October 5.
