WOW! Free sightseeing tours and exhibition in Budapest available this week!
Thematic trips, guided tours, visiting buildings, and museums, trip on the Danube, free sightseeing bus, sightseeing trams – these are all the programmes which will be available between February 21 and 24. On these three days, Budapest will organise several additional programmes to celebrate the International Day of Tourist Guides.
Travelo reported that the International Day of Tourist Guides is held on every last weekend of February when Hungarian tourist guides invite Hungarian and non-Hungarian speakers to take part in free programmes organised in the Hungarian capital city.
With more than 100 programmes, 100 Hungarian tourist guides take part in this three-day occasion. In addition, the annual Travel Exhibition is going to be opened in the same week at the Hungexpo.
The programmes
- Free sightseeing buses set off from the Hungexpo and special buses will be provided for people with disabilities as well.
- From Vigadó Square’s Dock 5, participants can enjoy the beauties of Budapest from a free sightseeing boat.
- Special sightseeing trams on tram lines 2 and 6.
- Guided tours, visiting museums, buildings, thematic trips, etc.
All the programmes are free-of-charge but require registration in advance. With the registration, the Travel Exhibition also can be visited at the Hungexpo.
