Szijjarto rejects Croatian premier’s statements on Hungary’s migrant measures – Photos from Hungarian-Croatian border
Budapest, September 25 (MTI) – Peter Szijjarto, Hungary’s foreign minister, on Friday rejected the statements of Croatian Prime Minister on Hungary’s measures taken during the current migration crisis.
Peter Szijjarto responded to Zoran Milanovic’s remark quoted by the Hungarian online portal index.hu that “they [Hungarians] have put up a wall, a lousy border wall, which is a disgrace to Europe.”
“We will just not shut the door right in front of people,” the portal quoted the Croatian premier as saying.
Milanovic said Hungary’s moves are utterly “unpredictable,” noting that Budapest is now busy installing a razor wire barrier at its border with Slovenia which is absolutely unnecessary, since both countries are members of the EU Schengen regime.
In response, Szijjarto said, “viciously attacking and blackmailing neighbouring countries, deliberately breaking EU asylum rules and transporting migrants by the thousands to Hungary are all acts that make someone unfit for 21st century norms of a civilised European politician,” Peter Szijjarto said in a statement.
He said Hungary firmly asked the Croatian prime minister “to stop the rampage” and “refrain from making Hungary a topic in the ongoing Croatian election campaign.”

@Milanovic
What a Hypocrite and Liar!
Hungary fenced to border to stop illegal uncontrolled migration, but did not seal it. Allowing controlled legal crossing at select border crossings.
Milanovic, stopped everything between Serbia and then transported by rail and Police, Train loads of unregistered migrants right into another sovereign country (Hungary) by force and denies it, finally confessing and promising to keep it up?! That’s an act of war!
Milanovic, your running for election?! Are you going to lie to your people and tell them too how your going to keep Croatian people and it’s economy safe, all by yourself??
