Cathedral designed by architect Imre Makovecz could be built in Budapest
World famous architect, one of the most prominent representatives of organic architecture Imre Makovecz left behind hundreds of architectural plans.
Earlier, the government decided to preserve Imre Makovecz’s works for posterity – the architect died on September 27, 2011. A multilingual monograph describing the works of the Kossuth Prize-winning architect is in preparatory stages.
There are suggestions to designate all buildings designed by the famous architect as a historic heritage. Various agencies currently reviewing all building projects of the architect to decide which one of them worth to be finished.
This will take some time as Makovecz designed nearly five hundred buildings and only approximately, half of them have been completed due to lack of money.
