EuropaProperty.com has announced the winners of the 2019 CRE Awards. Today the financial and economic challenges of the commercial real estate sector can be more uncertain and demanding than ever, but despite this so many companies are flourishing and achieving incredible success for themselves and their customers. In this way the CRE Awards provides all winners with the opportunity to be recognised for their hard work and commitment and share their successes with industry peers, teams and clients.

The CRE Awards celebrates excellence in the commercial real estate sector. Judged via a rigorous evidence-backed process on the success and market excellence of all nominees, these awards acknowledge the contribution of the commercial real estate profession in enhancing the reputation of commercial real estate companies operating around the CEE region.

Major winners included WING, CPI Property Group, Redwood Holding, CTP Invest, Eston International, IMMOFINANZ, CEETRUS and Horizon Development.

WING was recognised by the jury for its ambitious investment activity – a highlight of which was its entry into Poland, with a 56 percent acquisition of Echo Investment. The Investment Deal of the Year also went to WING for its acquisition of Infopark Buildings B, C and I in Budapest, and the company’s CEO Noah Steinberg walked away with the coveted Overall Professional of the Year award.

The developer and investor CPI Property Group also scooped up a couple of the main prizes including Office Project of the Year for their recently opened Balance Hall as well as Office Developer of the Year. Other project winners included Property Market, winning in the Residential Developer and Development categories for BudaPart Homes A and C.

Horizon Development won a Future Project award for the soon to be revitalised luxury residence Szervita Square Building in Budapest. Redwood Holding won the Future Hotel Project award for their Hard Rock Hotel Budapest development.

The company was also recognised as Hotel Developer of the Year. The Hotel Project award went to the spectacular renovation of the Párisi Udvar Hotel Budapest by Párizs Property.

Retail Project of the Year went to CEETRUS for their niche development Le Garage 1.0 – part of a bigger and more ambitious mixed-used development set for Hungary. CTP Invest won Industrial Project of the Year for CTPark Budapest West. The company also walked away with the Warehouse Developer of the Year award.

Consultancy Eston International collected Agency of the Year as well as Property Management Firm of the Year, and Cushman & Wakefield walked off with the Project Management Firm of the Year award. The Professional Woman of the Year award went to HB Reavis’ Mariann Toth.

Other company winners included New Work, which picked up the Professional Service Provider of the Year. Dentons received the Law Firm of the Year award and IMMOFINAZ won the Retail Developer of the Year.

Europa Design founded the Europa Property Well – Project of the Year Award, which was handed over to Futureal Budapest One Business Park.

The purpose of the award is to promote the Well certification and to showcase completed and ongoing projects that provide outstanding internal and external communication support and adequately demonstrate the benefits of Well certified workplaces and properties. The purpose of the award is not to review, classify, and comment on ongoing ratings, as their rigorous and inevitably objective system is the basis for the professional credit rating. The award is more about the communication of the system and the future employer brand enhancement results created by the project owners.

Moreover, accentuating the interest in the region’s retail sector, a few key retailers were shortlisted. The eventual winner of the Retailer of the Year award went to coffeeshop retailer Starbucks. The Retailer of the Year award was given to the most active retailer throughout the region based on their market innovation, expansion, contribution to the market, market share, concept and design, and commercial success.
