Hungarian authority sends camp beds to Greece for migrants
Budapest, March 11 (MTI) – The Hungarian Disaster Management authority has sent 1,000 camp beds to Greece in support of measures to help migrants, the authority said on Friday.
Greece requested contributions by other European Union member states on Feb. 29 through the union’s civil defence alert mechanism, deputy director Zoltán Góra said in a statement. Hungary offered its contribution on March 8. The beds worth 16 million forints (EUR 54,000) will be transported via Romania and Bulgaria to Athens, he said.
