All the necessary information on Budapest Airport’s test center
From December, it is possible to take COVID-19 tests at Ferenc Liszt International Airport. Not just passengers, but anyone can have PCR or rapid antigen tests performed at the test center established in the landside area of Terminal 2B.
The opening hours of the test center: 8:00-19:00 every day (The opening hours could change / may be extended on some days, depending on the schedule or increased demand.)
The most important information about the airport test center:
- PCR tests and rapid antigen tests can be performed without an appointment, only online registration is required, which can be completed on a smartphone or computer, at the website https://bud.umedhub.com/.
- The results of PCR tests are sent electronically, within 24-48 hours. The fixed authority price of PCR tests is 19 500 HUF.
- The results of rapid antigen tests are available within 15-20 minutes following testing, and are also sent out by e-mail. The price of a rapid antigen test is 11 000 HUF.
- The test results can be requested in Hungarian or English language.
- Following registration, users receive a QR code by e-mail, which they can scan contactlessly on site. They can pay for the test by bankcard and then immediately receive their line number.
- Pursuant to effective regulations, two negative PCR tests are needed for Hungarian citizens arriving home from abroad to be exempted from the quarantine obligation.
Information on terminal operations and passenger services
Budapest Airport is again closing the departure and arrivals halls of Terminal 2A on a temporary basis. Check-in and security screening take place at Terminal 2B.
Flights leaving for the Schengen zone depart from the boarding gates at Terminal 2A and Pier B and flights to non-Schengen countries from the boarding gates at Terminal 2B and Pier B.
Arriving passengers are checked at Terminal 2B and Pier B, baggage reclaim occurs at Terminal 2B.
Budapest Airport is also closing Pier 1 again on a temporary basis.
Car parks
Passengers can use Holiday Parking for long stay parking and Terminal Parking for short stay parking. Premium Parking can only be used to drop off and pick up passengers.
