Orbán: Effective governance ‘key to success’ in fight against pandemic
Effective governance is key to fighting the coronavirus pandemic successfully, Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said in Jerusalem on Thursday.
Orbán met his Israeli counterpart Benjamin Netanyahu and Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babis in King David Hotel to focus on efforts to halt the pandemic.
Orbán said he visited Israel in order to form an understanding of how that country had become a “world champion” in the fight against the pandemic and how Hungary could follow its example.
The prime minister praised “the living friendship” between Hungary and Israel, and noted that two-way trade had continued to increase — even last year when global trade plummeted by several points.
Orbán noted the two governments had promoted an Israeli investment project to manufacture ventilators in Hungary.
“We have learned that in times of a pandemic it is better to be a supplier than a buyer,” he said.
Orbán said today’s world was full of uncertainties, referring to the widespread view that the global community would be facing a series of pandemics.
Netanyahu proposed that Hungary should participate in international efforts to establish facilities in Israel for the development of new vaccines and medications.
The sides agreed that Hungary would join the Israeli initiative to introduce “green certificates” for those who have been vaccinated against the coronavirus.

Minister Szijjártó: Hungary ‘number one’ destination for Chinese investment in Europe

Since the result is a complete failure, given the enormous number of deaths, not to speak of an incredibly high percentage of new cases,
every third person tested is positive, that must be a record in Europe, evidently the governance has so far been all but effective. Obviously Orbán has lost every contact with the daily life of people. He speaks with slogans but reality is a disaster. Not to speak of record inflation and currency devaluation which make common people’s buying power shrink every month more.
Even more catastrophic is the decision of the regime to gamble with the life of Hungarian people by accepting Sinopharm vaccine, whose results of third phase of experimentation ( the crucial one ) have not been disclosed by Chinese authorities ( nobody wonders why? ) whose side effects are many and whose effectiveness is 50 %, which means useless. Tons of taxpayers’money wasted, people’s life endangered, solely to make somebody richer and to go along with anti-EU propaganda.
Why are Hungarians accepting this shameful handling of the pandemic?
