Gas blast blows off roof in Budapest
(MTI) – Sixteen flats were rendered uninhabitable by a gas explosion which virtually erased the upper floor and attic of a three-storey block of flats in northern Budapest’s district 13 on Monday.
An elderly man was hospitalised with severe burns after the blast, which happened shortly before noon, the ambulance service reported.
The disaster management authority said that seven inhabitants have been provided temporary accommodation.
