Over 140,000 Hungarians seeking to stay in Britain
So far over 140,000 Hungarian nationals have applied for permanent residency in the United Kingdom, according to figures published by the British Home Office on Thursday.

Foreign nationals in Britain who had legally established residence in the country before the end of 2020 will be allowed to stay, but they are required to apply for resident status.

including 975,180 Poles and 918,270 Romanians, 500,550 Italians, 376,440 Portuguese, 320,850 Spaniards and 140,460 Hungarians.
Applicants have until June 30 to submit their request.

Meanwhile, Registered Brits living in Hungary have to apply for a different type of registration/residency card which is through a fast track system and this must be done by the end of the year. This came into play on the 1st January 2021. All very well, except that you have to do the fast track form online first, which would not be a problem, except for the fact that the bmbah.hu website where you gave to this states the following:
“The online application platform specifically provided for the beneficiaries of the Withdrawal Agreement on the online application system ‘Enter Hungary’ is currently under development, we kindly request your patience until it is available.”
Once again, a government IT system that is a shambles. Just like the vaccine certificate card system.
