Hungarian art and culture to conquer the world – here is how
Hungary’s foreign ministry on Friday said it has signed a cooperation agreement with the Hungarian Art Academy (MMA) on supporting cultural diplomacy programmes.
The purpose of the long-term agreement is to formalise cooperation between the two institutions on the promotion of Hungarian art abroad. The joint programmes will mainly be organised with the involvement of Hungarian cultural centres — the Liszt Institutes — which will devote special attention to the promotion of the MMA’s artists.
The MMA has organised some 150 projects abroad over the past decade in around 200 locations, including Belgrade, Seoul, Krakow, Tokyo, Los Angeles, Beijing, Sofia and Tehran.
The cooperation agreement was signed by Gábor Richly, secretary-general of the MMA, and Marton Schoberl, the foreign ministry’s deputy state secretary for cultural diplomacy.
