Forint strengthening continues

After historic lows against the EUR, USD and CHF in the last few weeks, the Hungarian forint has been strengthening for a while and reached important milestone yesterday.

Yesterday evening you could buy an American dollar (USD) for only 391.55 forints, the highest currency exchange rate for a long while. Meanwhile, the euro was 404.87, almost 3 forints higher than in the morning (401.88), atv.hu wrote.

CHF: 407.30 in the morning and 415.38 in the evening of Friday.

Thanks to the good news coming from Brussels about a close agreement over the EU funds, many believe the strengthening trend of the forint will remain for the time being.
