Fuel prices significantly decreased today in Hungary
Fuel prices continue to fall in Hungary. Of course, we talk about the market prices. Those entitled to buy gasoline and diesel for the capped price will purchase it for the fixed HUF 480 (EUR 1.18) per litre.
Holtankoljak.hu writes that the reason for the price fall is the drop in purchase prices. In the case of gasoline, the decline reaches HUF 20 (EUR 0.049), while, in the case of diesel, it will be HUF 19 (EUR 0.047).
The problem currently in Hungary with fuel is not necessarily the price but its availability. That is because MOL announced last week they would not be able to supply smaller filling stations due to the shortages in Russian crude oil deliveries.
Nevertheless, here are the new market prices released today in Hungary:
Gasoline 95: HUF 647 (EUR 1.59) per litre
Diesel: HUF 713 (EUR 1.76) per litre.
That means diesel prices fell by HUF 138 (EUR 0.34) in only one month in Hungary. In the case of gasoline, the price difference is HUF 58 (EUR 0.14), but the trend is also decreasing. Fuel prices were peaking in Hungary in October, portfolio.hu said.
