An interactive visitor centre will open on the banks of the Örvény backwater. On 17 February, the Lake Tisza Sportfishery presented the plans for Tiszárium to the public. The complex will fundamentally change the way people see Lake Tisza.
Péter Tóth, the designer in charge of the Tiszárium complex, presented the plans for the complex on the banks of the Örvény backwater on 17 February. According to ilovetiszato.hu, the brand new complex would be built around an Árpád-era church.

Plans for the new visitor centre
The aim was to design a building complex that blends in with the natural environment, based on the traditions and values of the area.
On the shores of the Örvény backwater, the designers Mérmű Stúdió envisioned a visitor centre around the former Árpád-era church. The local museum’s archaeological director, Dr Edit Mester and her team began the excavation project last year.

Other significant improvements would be made as part of the project. They would rebuild the small former Árpád-era church, writes szoljon.hu. In addition, an open-air stage and a bridge over the Örvény backwater would be built on the dam side, providing access to the river.
An area offering many gems to visitors
Not far away is the Tisza Lake Ecocentre in Poroszló, which from 11 March will welcome nature-loving families and groups with its giant freshwater aquarium, unique in Europe. According to the website, the adult ticket will cost HUF 2,600 (EUR 6.82), and the concession ticket HUF 2,250 (EUR 5.90). Among other things, family tickets are also available.

Cool. Tisza lake is a real gem for nature lovers and fishers. Hope we can to see more investments like this in Hungary.
