Tesla to launch mobile service in Hungary
According to job advertisements published on the Tesla’s website, the US company is looking for mobile service staff in Kaposvár, Budapest, Győr, Miskolc and Kecskemét. A mobile service could make life easier for Tesla owners: the only Tesla service centre in Hungary is currently located in Budapest.
Villanyautosok.hu noticed a post on X (formely Twitter), where a user announced the launch of Tesla’s mobile service in Hungary. For now, Totalcar had not found any trace of the new service on the company’s website, so it is likely that the manufacturer is preparing the launch.

While the introduction of Tesla’s mobile service in Hungary may seem like a convenience for owners, it raises concerns about the broader impact of electric cars. The limited availability of service centers highlights the potential challenges electric vehicle owners face in terms of maintenance and repairs. Unlike traditional vehicles with widespread service networks, electric cars, especially from companies like Tesla, may leave owners in areas with no nearby service options vulnerable to extended downtimes. This reliance on a centralized service model contradicts the convenience often associated with electric vehicles, potentially making them less practical, especially in regions with limited service coverage. The expansion of electric cars should be accompanied by a comprehensive service infrastructure to ensure widespread accessibility and long-term viability.
