Check out the latest luxury hotels opened in Budapest in 2023
Let’s see who takes the crown from last year! We had very strong competitors for the whole of 2023 since Budapest is rich in hotels that are instantly appealing to guests.
Quiet and comfortable luxury, lovely activities and fantastic restaurants: the variety and amount of hotels that meet these criteria is quite surprising. The past year has been especially filled with renovations and renewals in the industry, pulling ahead of previous years. Without further ado, here are the top four!
1. Dorothea Hotel
The hotel is named after Archduchess Maria Dorothea of Württemberg, who brought significant cultural and economic development to the capital in the 1800s. It’s located in the iconic 5th district and like its name, brings remarkable styles together. Three buildings built in different eras and styles, where the past and present intertwine in an almost unnoticable manner. Dorothea Hotel enchants guests with unique interior design solutions and aesthetics, which were designed by Italian architect Piero Lissoni.
2. Radisson BudaPart – Business and Leisure on the Danube
In the newly built BudaPart district, the Radisson hotel chain’s new business hotel offers excellent services both for those who are ready for business and those who are looking for leisure. The Radisson has more than 200 rooms, modern event and conference spaces, a sky bar, and an Asian fusion restaurant, proving that you really can have it all. The hotel conquers the Budapest hotel scene, bringing the international standard to the banks of the Danube.
3. Four Points by Sheraton Budapest Danube – Unique Experience in Újlipótváros
After a successful trial operation in the summer, the Four Points by Sheraton Budapest Danube officially opened its doors in November, magyarorszagom.hu writes. This is the first Four Points by Sheraton unit in Budapest, which is a part of the Marriott International hotel chain. The hotel has already won our hearts with its rooftop bar providing breathtaking view of the Danube and Margaret Island. Sitting in the noteworthy historical and family friendly district of Újlipótváros, this hotel is sure to be a crowd favourite in the New Year too!
4. W Budapest – Sophistication and Historical Elegance
W is the letter of elegance as proven by W Budapest. The hotel opened its doors in July in the iconic Drechsler Palace on Andrássy Avenue. It is a noteworthy UNESCO World Heritage site, which is already a great start. The hotel, born from the collaboration of the Bánáti-Hartvig architectural office and the London-based BJB design studio, elegantly blends Budapest’s rich historical heritage from both sides of the river, Buda and Pest.
The hotel is part of Marriott International’s W Hotels Worldwide chain, bringing world-class quality to an already high-end location. With its prime spot in the heart of the city and remarkably classy interior, the W Budapest deserves its spot on the list of favourites.
