Hungary receives intl award for good debt management
Hungary has received the International Financing Review’s 2023 emerging markets award for its dollar bond issue last January, Finance Minister Mihály Varga said on Facebook on Tuesday.
Varga quoted the IFR as saying that the bond issue, worth 4.25 billion US dollars, ensured predictable and secure financing for the country.
“We’ll keep the economy on a growth path, reduce the budget deficit and the state debt this year,” the minister said.
