Fidesz MEP: EU aiming to curb freedom of speech
The European Union is using legislative tools to “grossly, radically” curb freedom of speech and opinion, an MEP of ruling Fidesz told a conference in Budapest on Tuesday.
Deutsch said the EU was working to introduce “mandatory rules of conduct” in various areas. He said recently adopted media regulations ran afoul of member states’ regulations as well as common EU rules.
Meanwhile, “to eliminate unwanted views”, the EU also wanted to expand its definition of hate speech and reform regulations on political advertising, he added.
Deutsch said “the attack on the freedom of opinion is not a dystopia or a plan; it’s reality.” The new legislation could come into force in every member state within months, bringing legal and financial sanctions against alternative opinions, he said.
“We must fight against attacks on our personal, community, national or European freedom”, Deutsch said, adding that such efforts amounted to a “fight for freedom”.

Free speech in Hungary must be protected. Let Hungary be a haven for those that appreciate the sacrifices that were made to achieve free speech.
Maria, freedom of speech doesn’t mean freedom of consequences. If i start to swear on you, i could say i am using my freedom of speech, but your lovely leader, apparently, can say whatever he wants, like calling Ukraine as a corrupt country (which i partially agree on) but if swedish politicians does the same, then the Hungarian politicians are offended. Double standards as usual from Hungary
What else is new… The Eurotrash wants to flood us with millions of worst-quality illegal aliens, turn our kids into nihilistic, gender-fluid hedonists, price us out of the ability to own a car or heat our homes, have us eat bugs and lab-grown edible substances… – and if you dare to say a peep in protest, they label you a “far-right” “extremist” with everything that entails (loss of job, criminal prosecution, take your kids, etc.). These people are out of control and need to be stopped. Luckily, artificial unions based on megalomania and coercion meet their end sooner or later, and so will the E.U. Oh, and Jose: Ukraine IS corrupt, much more so than the entire rest of Europe put together.
Michael. Surprise, hungary is also corrupt, but dont tell that to Orban cause he is a crying baby
More propaganda from the Rouble Right after they have been limiting freedom of speech in Hungary for more than a decade forcing opposition media out of television, radio and billboard advertising.
Now for some facts and hard data. Not popular, soundbites are much more interesting, however:

Sounds familiar and-or relatable?
@michaelsteiner – Hungary, unfortunately, is the most corrupt country in the European Union.
Suggestion: why don´t we set an example and clean up our act before we go after anyone else, before engaginf in a “holier than thou” act?
