Collect on Arrival: Budapest Airport to keep your duty-free goods until your arrival!
A new “Collect on Arrival” service has been introduced by Budapest Airport and Heinemann Duty Free & Travel Value at Budapest Airport.
Collect on Arrival at Budapest Airport
According to Budflyer, a Hungarian air travel news Facebook page, the service means that products purchased at Skycourt Duty Free before departure are kept until the return to Budapest. On your return, you can collect your purchase as a parcel from a dedicated machine installed on arrival side 2A.
Conditions
According to bud.hu, the conditions for using the service are the following:
- Travelling to an EU country and returning from a Schengen country
- Products purchased in a Heinemann Duty-Free Skycourt shop (excluding excisable products)
How to use the service?
- Shop in Heinemann Duty Free stores and let the cashier know that you would like to use the Collect on Arrival service!
- Give your details (name, contact details) to the cashier, who will pick up your selected products and place them in the locker!
- Enjoy your journey!
- When you arrive back in Budapest, you will be notified by email and SMS which locker you will find your products in. Based on the information you receive, go to the baggage machine and pick up the products you bought! Convenient, easy and free of charge.
How to find the machine?
There are information/orientation boards in the aisles/arrivals area to help you find the baggage machine. Also, a map HERE will make it even easier.
“Once you arrive at the machine, you will need to use the receipt you received when you made your purchase, the QR code you received by email or your PIN to open the locker. Follow the instructions on the information touch panel in the centre of the machine. Please lock the locker door after the pick-up,” Budapest Airport writes.
“For assistance during opening hours (03:30-21:15), please call the Heinemann Duty-Free Skycourt shop on +36 30 612 9133, where we can only provide assistance by telephone,” the airport adds.
