Attention, tourists: Budapest airport shuttle bus timetable changes
From Monday, 1 July, the 200E will operate more frequently in Budapest during the morning rush hour between Kőbánya-Kispest and Liszt Ferenc International Airport (Budapest Airport) on weekdays, the Budapest Transport Centre (BKK) announced on Friday.
Budapest airport shuttle to operate more frequently
The decision was justified by the fact that in the summer peak season, in July and August, the airport is expected to see higher passenger traffic than ever before.
For those travelling to the airport from the city centre, BKK offers the fast 100E airport shuttle, which will run at its busiest during this period. However, many passengers choose the 200E from Kőbánya-Kispest, as it offers a cheaper way to the airport for those arriving from South Pest or by train.
The number of airport employees and the number of people working in the logistics park in the area has also increased significantly, so this spring, BKK conducted a passenger count, Pénzcentrum writes. Based on the passenger traffic analysis, the transport company has already expanded the number of early Saturday morning departures for the 200E service.
