August 20 – Celebrations get under way – PHOTOS

August 20 is one of the oldest Hungarian holidays: the day of St. Stephen, the remembrance day of the foundation of the Christian Hungarian state and the thousand year-long continuity of the Hungarian state.

Traditionally, the celebration starts out by hoisting the flag, Hussars marching to the inauguration parade and the president delivering a speech.
