Zendaya arrives in Budapest in stunning outfit: here’s where you can meet her!

Zendaya has a new home in Budapest! A wax figure of the actress has been unveiled at Madame Tussauds Budapest, taking residence in a Rác Thermal Bath-inspired room. This unique wax figure, created specifically for the Budapest location, features Zendaya in a recreation of the stunning outfit she wore to the most recent Academy Awards ceremony.

According to the Hungarian tabloid Blikk, the creation of this wax figure was a months-long process undertaken by Madame Tussauds artists near London. The actress herself participated in a “sitting,” allowing the specialists to meticulously measure her physical attributes, from her skin tone and eye spacing to the precise colour of her hair. They also modelled her movements, posture, and hairstyle to ensure accuracy.

Iconic silk gown on the figure

The figure is dressed in a faithful replica of the Armani Privé silk gown, in antique rose and metallic tones, that the actress wore to the Oscars. The dress, featuring a twisted shoulder detail and palm leaf embellishments, made a significant splash, with Hollywood fashion journalists naming her the best-dressed star of that year. Recreating the gown presented a considerable challenge for the Madame Tussauds international team, but the final result speaks for itself. The figure was transported to Budapest from London.

For Zendaya, this arrival in Budapest is something of a homecoming. She previously spent several months in the Hungarian capital filming Dune, often accompanied by her fiancé, actor Tom Holland.

Zendaya’s voice actor greeted the wax figure

The wax Zendaya was greeted in Budapest by Franciska Törőcsik, the Hungarian actress who has frequently dubbed Zendaya’s voice in films like DuneThe Greatest Showman, and Challengers. Törőcsik, who presented the figure to the press and public, said, “I think Zendaya is a cool girl, a good actress, a real personality, and very conscious in everything she does. It’s hard to dub bad performances, but it’s easy to work with her. My personal favourite of hers is Challengers.”

She also noted the parallels in their careers, adding, “In some ways, our careers do meet. I enjoy that within the acting profession, I can sing and dance. I don’t have time to get bored with anything.” While admiring the recreated silk gown, Törőcsik admitted she doesn’t closely follow fashion herself, preferring to wear baseball caps and sweaters in her daily life.

Zendaya has joined Madame Tussauds Budapest as a permanent fixture, arriving just in time for the Valentine’s Day decorations. Romance is also present in Zendaya’s real life, as she was recently proposed to by her fiancé, Tom Holland.
