More and more Member States in the EU would sanction Hungary

A significant shift is emerging within the European Union as an increasing number of member states advocate for sanctions against Hungary due to its repeated breaches of EU values. The country has been under scrutiny since 2018, when Article 7 proceedings were launched to address concerns over judicial independence, corruption, and minority rights. While progress has been slow, recent developments suggest a growing willingness among EU nations to take decisive action.
Poland, currently holding the EU Council presidency, announced plans for a hearing on 27 May regarding Hungary’s compliance with European values, Index reports. Reports indicate that 19 member states now support moving forward with the Article 7 process, which could lead to sanctions such as suspending Hungary’s voting rights in the Council. However, achieving the required four-fifths majority remains uncertain, and unanimous approval for penalties would be even more challenging given opposition from certain leaders.
Hungary’s controversial policies have intensified tensions within the bloc. Its withdrawal from the International Criminal Court (ICC) has been widely condemned as a violation of European Union law and a betrayal of international justice principles. Critics argue that this move further isolates Hungary and undermines accountability mechanisms central to the EU’s legal framework.
Additionally, Hungary’s repeated veto threats over sanctions against Russia have frustrated other member states.

Humiliation – the GROWING insult, to the name of our country, this individual, his Fidesz Government brings upon Hungary – Unpardonable.
The SAVAGERY – in the distillation of Respect and Trust – the HIDIOUS – Monstrous – hallmark of the Orban led Fidesz Government – he Orban, his Fidesz Government, the Fidesz Party Members – the Oligarchy can NEVER – never, never be Appeased.
Orban personally, his Fidesz Government, the Fidesz Political Party have dismally FAILED – what they have DELIVERED upon Hungary, that is abused, neglected that are DISMISSIVE of ;

(3) – Decency.
Hungarians – in our growing millions in SOLIDARITY – “Justice, justice shall you pursue”.
A whole revamp of the EU may be coming soon because it is dysfunctional in its’ present form with veto power given to every state. The proposal would involve the actual termination of the EU and the simultaneous creation of an EU 2.0. The method would be for member states to invoke Article 50 and withdraw from every EU treaty taking effect two years from the date of the announced withdrawl. That would effectively terminate the EU in two years. In the meantime these withdrawing members will rewrite all of the treaties they are withdrawing from to take effect on the date of the termination of the EU. Anyone not agreeing will not join EU 2.0 which means Hungary will have to agree to give up its’ veto if it wants to remain in the EU but it may also find that the others will not agree to its’ inclusion.
HUXIT! nobody will miss hungary. and you can join BRICS!
The E.U. has been a failure and, more generally, has an air of decay about it. It is rudderless, aging, sclerotic, ponderous, pessimistic, hopelessly bureaucratic, endlessly corrupt…
It’s being invaded by tens of millions of human trash from the third world who lead a parasitic and often criminal existence once here, while the people are being gaslighted into believing a Russian invasion is the real threat.
People are also deliberately being made poorer through the pursuit of all kinds of globalist-social-fascist agenda while being brainwashed into believing it’s good for the planet.
And the E.U. is becoming increasingly authoritarian, particularly toward those who point out, let alone oppose, any of the above.
So yeah, let them berate and censure Hungary for “crimes” that are a spit in the ocean compared to other member countries, never mind the E.U.’s own institutions. It will just precipitate the inevitable: the E.U. going down the same path as the CCCP or Yugoslavia, into the garbage can of history. I’ll sure be dancing on its grave.
That whole rant is just a mix of racism, disinformation, and fearmongering.
First off, calling people “human trash” from the third world is disgusting and dehumanizing. Migrants aren’t parasites — they’re people fleeing war, poverty, or persecution, and many contribute meaningfully to European societies. The “tens of millions” number is totally made up.
As for the EU being “hopelessly corrupt and authoritarian” — yeah, it’s not perfect, but it’s still one of the most democratic and transparent institutions in the world. Corruption exists everywhere, including Hungary, which this person conveniently ignores.
The idea that people are being “brainwashed” into believing climate change is real or that Russia is a threat? That’s just classic conspiracy stuff. Climate science is real, and Russia literally invaded a neighboring country. That’s not a distraction, that’s a major global issue.
And no, the EU isn’t collapsing like the USSR or Yugoslavia. It’s been around for decades, continues to grow and adapt, and member states stay in it voluntarily — because it works, despite its flaws.
This kind of rant isn’t about truth or solutions — it’s just hate dressed up as opinion. Not worth dancing on any graves over.
But … Who will then send us our free money? And we may end up with tariffs and other barriers to trade. Especially since Hungary is small and insignificant (except for our “Veto Power!” – however this is only in a NATO / EU context).
