Across The Borders Of Art
Brody House and Brody Studios are the unique projects launched in an up and coming quirky neighborhood of Budapest back in 2009. Brody house exemplifies swish guest rooms and apartments available for long and short term stays in the heart of the Hungarian capital. Behind the 19th century façade lays groundbreaking boutique hotel with a sleek minimalist style infused with vintage details.
Brody Studios is a place where people gather to celebrate artists, who are standing out from the crowd, who want to get their message across and get heard. Brody Studios host vernissages, various exhibitions, and literary readings. From the moment this pioneering project has been introduced to the public arena, thousands of people developed a long-standing love affair with Brody Studios. Fertile imagination of the aspiring photographers, writers, and designers is an antidote against the monotonous routine of an everyday life.
Brody studios use different canvases to uncover the talents of the promising artists from all over the globe. For instance, from the February of 2014 there will be series of events hosted by Rosie Apponyi; so-called international literary dinners will take place on the last Wednesday of every month. These dinners will enable attendees to enter the realm of literary and culinary fantasy. During the sessions invited authors will have a talk about their work “followed by a three course book-inspired set menu”;
Literary dinners are antithesis of stereotypical book-signing sessions. During these events literary enthusiasts will get a chance to hero-worship some of the beloved authors and enjoy the surreal culinary art at the same time. According to the official Brody Studios’ release, writers including Masha Gessen (Russia), Timur Vermes (Germany) and Philippe Claudel (France) will be guest stars of the events; as well as the legend of a contemporary prose, Hungarian writer – Tibor Fischer.
If one is not fascinated by the dazzling works literary arts, Brody Studios have many more programs, which encourage creativity and promote aesthetics: film screenings, “secret” cinema nights, as well as fashion shows, design exhibitions, photography presentations and even “Regular shows from resident French magician Johann Bayle”.
Brody House and Brody Studios have seduced the vibrant multinational crowd of Budapest, who live and love beauty, with some unique opportunities to experience the global cultural heritage.
