Train trips from Budapest to this marvellous seashore cheaper from Sunday

From 24 August through 15 September, travellers can take the train to Hungarians’ favourite seaside destination at last-minute prices, according to MÁV. However, due to the closure of Keleti railway station, trains will now depart from and return to Kelenföld.

From Budapest to the Adriatic by train? Easier than ever

According to information from MÁV, nearly 10,000 people have already traveled to the Adriatic by train this year — a number likely to grow as ticket prices drop starting this Sunday. Passengers can board not only in Budapest, but also in Székesfehérvár, Siófok, Fonyód, and Nagykanizsa. The state railway company particularly recommends the Sunday, next Tuesday, and Thursday departures. For return trips from Split (Spalato), the most favorable dates are next Friday, Sunday, and 3 September.

Here are the last-minute deals to our favourite beach

Last-minute fares are as follows: a seat in a six-person compartment is now €29 instead of EUR 47, while a couchette in a six-person compartment — ideal for uninterrupted rest — is available for EUR 39 instead of EUR 49, according to MÁV.

Departures leave Kelenföld at 7:01 p.m. every time, arriving in Split at 9:39 a.m. the following morning — perfectly timed so travelers don’t lose a day en route. Return trips depart Split at 5:43 p.m. The schedule allows for even one-day excursions: trains run every other day in August, and two to three times a week in September.

Even a day trip is possible

Trains are equipped with dining cars, and overnight travelers can rest comfortably in sleeper or couchette compartments, making the journey easy and restful.

From Split’s railway station, local bus lines and the ferry terminal with routes to nearby islands are just minutes away. The city itself offers numerous attractions, including the 1,700-year-old Diocletian’s Palace.

  1. Yo folks, gotta tell this. I first heard about Woodbine Casіno in a random Canadian gaming forum. Thought it would be like all the other sites, but man, the interface is clean, the slots are quick, and it actually feels fun. I spent way too long just spinning for kicks, testing patterns, and enjoying the randomness. It’s addictive without being overwhelming, and I actually look forward to popping in for a few rounds when I have some free time.

  2. I live in Lucknow, and recently I was looking for a new activity for my evenings. I noticed a mention of https://gullybett.in/app/ on a forum and decided to download it. First, I tried the slots, and it turned out to be more exciting than I expected. I especially liked that there are often additional bonuses, which make you want to keep playing. It’s convenient that the app works without glitches and can be used even on a phone. Now it’s my favorite evening entertainment, which helps me switch gears and feel the thrill.
