Dangerous winter conditions in the Tatras
The High Tatras are a popular destination for hikers and climbers from Hungary and across Central Europe. However, winter conditions can be hazardous, with rapidly changing weather and an increased risk of avalanches in certain valleys and slopes.
Mountain rescue services regularly urge visitors to check avalanche forecasts and avoid high-risk areas during unstable conditions.
