Sziget passes sold-out
Sziget Festival has reached a new milestone by selling out all of the 7 Days Passes before July. The Island of Freedom will also set a new record in the number of nationalities represented at the event, as presales ticket buyers come from a total of 102 countries.
Important hint for late-buyers: day tickets are still available, but make sure you decide quickly!
The Budapest-based major festival has attracted a growing number of visitors for the last years and – in spite of an increased capacity – has already sold all 5 Days and 7 Days Passes for the 2016 edition. All Sziget passes include camping possibility, so the organizers also wanted to make sure Szitizens staying onsite can find enough places for their tents.
‘2016 is clearly a record-breaking year for us. We’ve never sold so many tickets so quickly, which is good for the company as well. Besides working as hard as we can, we’re also very proud of the fact that fans from all over the world trust us and join us for this magic week!’ – said Tamas Kadar, CEO of Sziget Cultural Management. ‘Of course we’re also happy to welcome visitors with day tickets, but I would like to urge everybody not to leave buying these at the last moment, because the quantity is limited’.
