Le Bélier to invest EUR 32m in Hungary
Budapest, December 9 (MTI) – French automotive industry supplier Le Bélier will invest up to 10 billion forints (EUR 32m) in three of its plants in Hungary, Tibor Skobrak, Le Belier’s financial director for central Europe, announced on Friday.
The Hungarian government will support the investment with a 2.2 billion forint grant.
Le Bélier is planning to invest at its plants in Ajka in the west, Szolnok, in central Hungary, and Mohács, in the south. The investment will result in 350 new jobs and is scheduled to be completed by end-2018. Around 40 percent of the jobs will be for engineers or people with a tertiary diploma.
Péter Szijjártó, the foreign affairs and trade minister, said Le Belier was investing to fill a big order for BMW. Le Bélier will manufacture engineered aluminium parts for the braking system in BMW 5 series vehicles.
