Post-Sziget: American hip-hop star Macklemore would move to Budapest

The 40-year-old rapper said the buildings were staggering, the girls were stunners and the men look ripped. He added he couldn’t imagine being in bad spirit in Hungary.

According to 24.hu, Macklemore (Benjamin Hammond Haggerty) revealed he would even consider moving to the Hungarian capital for a short while. Blikk wrote that the American rapper’s Sziget gig went down as ‘the party of the year’.

During the concert, he praised the buildings and castles of Budapest, the cute Hungarian girls and the and handsome and buff Hungarian guys. He added he couldn’t imagine anyone would be in bad spirit in Hungary. It seems he had little information about the country’s grim historical background. The latest World Happiness Report published this March showed that Hungarians aren’t happy despite the astonishing buildings and the pretty girls.
