PHOTOS: Whimsical April – Ice and frost hits Hungary
Although it is the middle of April, unfortunately, the weather is far from spring-like. Ice and frost hit Hungary in several parts of the country on Saturday.
Hungarians woke up to another cold morning, this time the Nyírség and the Danube-Tisza area cooled down the most, according to Economx.
According to Időkép, a Hungarian weather forecast site, temperatures dropped to near freezing in several places early Saturday morning.
Ice and frost hits Hungary
In the Danube-Tisza area and in the Nyírség region, temperatures of -2 to -3 degrees Celsius were recorded.
The coldest temperature was recorded in Kecskemét, where the minimum was -3.5 degrees Celsius.
Around noon, the Danube bend experienced a huge downpour with lots of ice. A read of Economx sent a photo as proof from Szentendre, which you can check out HERE.
