Aurora was visible in Hungary – impressive PHOTOS and VIDEO

Anyone who looked up at the sky last night and evening in Hungary was lucky to see another beautiful aurora. 

According to the weather forecast website Időkép, thanks to another strong geomagnetic storm, the aurora has brightened up in our country and sunspot activity is approaching its maximum.

Incredibly, the aurora in Hungary is regular: this was the seventeenth this year.

On Monday after sunset, another aurora showed itself, when several of the night vision cameras of the time-lapse imagery showed a pink glow. The spectacular “show” came after 11 PM, when the geomagnetic storm truly kicked in.

Hungary had not seen such a jaw-dropping Aurora Borealis phenomenon since 2003, thanks to a serious geomagnetic storm in May 2024. Details and pictures here.
